Carports

Carports are a convenient, quickly available option when you simply need additional protective space. They are made from various materials and come in different styles, sizes, and anchoring options.

Materials
Carport manufacturers understand that you expect your carport to be durable and weatherproof. Depending on the type of carport you choose, you’ll find vinyl or powder-coat finished steel, and polyethylene canopy coverings—materials designed to withstand what Mother Nature dishes out. When you decide on a carport style, the components come predrilled with thorough instructions for timely, easy assembly.

Styles
Metal carports are known for their sturdy, stay-put construction. They can be free standing or built to attach to an existing home or other building. Price ranges for metal carports are higher than for some other styles; but metal carports are also the sturdiest of all carports. Canopy-style carports use polyethylene canopies to keep covered space safe from the elements. They come in many styles, including rounded and house styles; these styles have a canopy that provides side covering (the house style covers on three sides) as well as across the top.

Sizes
Carports come in different sizes to fit your needs. Most simply, they come in single and double car capacities. There are also RV sized options available. But you can be more specific and choose carports that have 8 legs (larger carports), 6 legs (smaller carports), or 10 legs (king-sized carports).

Anchoring Systems
After deciding where you want to install your carport, you can choose an anchoring system for added stability. Anchoring systems come in a kit with anchors and lengths of rope. The anchors can be stake anchors or screw-in anchors. The length of rope and number of anchors depends on the size of the intended carport. You may also choose metal feet to anchor your carport—especially for use on concrete. Weighted bags, which can be filled with 40 lbs. of sand, are also available. These wrap securely around the legs of the carport.

Enjoy the convenience and protection of a carport that perfectly suits your needs.
